Andrea Tamkin

Whether it be a pet portrait, landscape or still life my observations are captured by responding to color, brush marks on the canvas, building the surface, and working intuitively. Trusting the process in hopes that my individuality, quirkiness and whimsey come through in the art work.

Andrea concentrated in painting at theSchool of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and Tufts University.

Since 1986 her work has been exhibited in many local galleries such as the Society of Arts and Crafts,  the Bernard Toale Gallery, and in the Chuck Levitan Gallery in New York.

Her artwork is in many private collections from Boston to Alaska and in corporate collections such as the Bank of Boston and The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston.
